There are many ways to get involved with the Ten Mile Lake Sailing Club and to stay connected with the greater Ten Mile Lake community.

Sailing Workshops
Learn how to sail from experienced sailors. Workshops for beginners are held periodically throughout the summer.

*Simply log on and check the box next to the date on the race and events schedule to sign up for a workshop.

Racing

On the schedule page check the appropriate box next to a race you would like to crew on. If you are ready to race but would like more information please email the race commitee and we will make sure you get off to a good start, (About us, Contact us).

*If you would like to crew during a race simply log on and check the box next to the date on the race and events scheduale or call Commodore Grant early on the day of a race and he will find a crew position for you. Grant's cabin phone is 675 6228.

Volunteering
Learn the fundamentals of sailboat racing by assisting the commodore in setting up and taking down the Saturday race course. The commodore or his designate will pick you up so you can learn the basics of sailboat racing, and you will be asked to retrieve the marks (buoys) after the race is over. And you may also get a chance to play with walkie talkies.

*Simply log on and check the box next to the date on the race and events schedule to volunteer.

Telltale Mixers
After each race, sailors get together to discuss tactics and to learn from others. Check the Web site to find out where the party will be for that particular weekend. Mixers allow you to get to know more people on the lake and to improve your sailing abilities by listening and participating in the discussion. All are welcome to attend.
